My entry fr 's pokemon contest. She had mentioned making something that hasn't been done, so ha! Ice gryphon it is....and a quail :3

Cloqual (Cloud + Quail/ pronounced Clo (as in clover) qual)
Type- Ice/Psychic
Species- Quail
Height- 1'4''
Weight- 10 lbs
Difference between genders- Males have a white circular spot on their thighs. Females lack the spot.
Pokedex entry: Rare and timid, these pokemon flee at the first sign of danger. They are only found in snowy mountain forests.
Description:
Cloqual are extremely rare and timid creatures, living only in frozen lands. They prefer forests over open mountain land, but as long as there's snow, they're happy. They excel in speed, running fast through the light snow. The orb on their tail is a focus point for their psychic powers. The powers enable them to run across snow without sinking into deep portions, make it snow, and also for attacking if forced to. In their mind, however, it's flight before fight.

Grystorm (Gryphon + Storm/ pronouced gri storm)
Type: Ice/Psychic
Species: Gryphon
Height- 5'1''
Weight- 160lbs
Difference between genders- Females have a purple-gray stripe on their hind feet and purple toe. Males have dark gray legs and lack the purple.
Pokedex entry: Their anger is unpredictable, but they can be extremely loyal creatures. The orb on their crest feather can focus psychic powers into a powerful beam.
Description:
Even rarer still is the Grystorm. They live in the highest and most remote regions of mountains, where they can use their powers to create blizzards to shelter themselves. In the wild, they're extremely dangerous, however there are reports of encounters in which the Grystorm leads a lost traveler to safety. Grystorms have highly developed psychic powers and are capable of sustained flight over short periods of time by creating wings of ice. Flight is only possible where ice can be formed and only lasts as long as the ice is solid.

These pokemon are considered extremely rare due to the fact that they were nearly hunted to extinction for their extremely soft downy feathers and valuable orbs. It's also been reported that the clouds make powerful potions.
